In Bolivia live estimated 35.000 afrobolivians. They are descendants of African slaves. Until recently they didn't have any rights, similarly to indigenous people. Most of them live in the Yungas under poor living conditions. Since the 2nd Morales government they have a representative in the Congress, Jorge Medina Barra, who fights for their rights.
